Coastal Direct Health & Wellness is a new Family Medicine Primary Care Clinic in Leland, NC.
Kristin and Jennifer are sisters trained in Family Medicine. They both attended the University of North Carolina in Wilmington as undergraduates, four years apart, and found their way into healthcare separately.
Kristin obtained her B.S. in Nursing, worked for five years at Duke University Hospital. She then attended UNC Chapel Hill ultimately becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner working in family medicine for the past five years.
After obtaining her B.S. in Marine Biology at UNCW, Jennifer made the decision to go to medical school as well as pursue a Master’s Degree in Public Health, focusing on Health Behavior and Health Education with a certificate in Global Health, both at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
After years of practicing separately in the hospital and primary care settings respectively, Jennifer and Kristin realized a shared vision for a practice of their own that would foster a slower paced, nurturing environment for patients. They desire to focus on preventative, comprehensive health helping people achieve their health goals by increasing access to their provider and decreasing the dictating involvement of insurance. They are interested in authentic relationships with their patients and addressing the many factors that contribute to overall health and wellness.
