Educational & Professional Experience
Candace graduated from Ithaca College with her doctorate in physical therapy in 2007. She worked for 2 years at a children's hospital in Connecticut. There she performed clinical gait analysis as well as contributed to a number of research projects focusing on the long term outcomes of orthopedic surgery in people with cerebral palsy. Candace moved to Wilmington, NC and began providing home care pediatric therapy as an independent contractor in 2009. In 2011 she opened her own physical therapy practice, Bright Beginnings Physical Therapy, providing both in-home and outpatient clinic based pediatric physical therapy. Recently, Candace saw the need to provide an alternative option to meet the physical therapy needs for children whose families are not supported by the traditional insurance payment options. Candace is excited to join her sisters at Coastal Direct Health and Wellness to meet these needs.
Background & Interests
Candace and her husband Rob share two delightful little boys and enjoy spending time outdoors especially biking and swimming. One of their favorite activities as a family is being involved at Port City Community Church.
